Zierick Manufacturing Corporation, a leading provider of PCB connectors and assembly equipment, announces an expansion of the receptacle family with the versatile 1263 and 1265 SMT Box Receptacles. The 1263 SMT Box Receptacle is a horizontal terminal, and the 1265 SMT Box Receptacle is a vertical terminal. Both receptacles have entry capability on either end, and offer a small footprint, high current rating, high locational tolerance, low insertion force and a reliable connection by way of a high pressure contact area.
The receptacle's current rating is 3 amps and mates with a 0.025" square or round pin with entry on either end. The receptacles can accommodate a minimum of twelve mating cycles without degradation.
Both the 1263 and 1265 SMT Box Receptacles are designed for automation with existing pick and place equipment and the Surf-Shooter SMT feeder system—eliminating expensive fixturing and time-consuming hand placement. The receptacles are also available in surface mount tape pockets for use with a standard tape and reel feeder.
