During the WOTS fair in Utrecht, Zierick and their agent, A&C Solutions, won the TechAward for the launch of Zierick’s Insulation Piercing Technology for coax cables. The TechAward is assigned to the best new product of each ‘world’ within the WOTS. For the world of Electronics, the Zierick IPC-2-1-T collected the largest number of votes.
NEW TECHNOLOGY TO CONNECTOR COAX CABLES TO A PCB
Zierick’s insulation piercing crimp terminals for wires with outside diameters of 1.14mm up to 3.30 mm are already available on the market for some time. Recently, Zierick extended the product line of piercing crimp terminal with the IPC-2-1T, a special terminal to connect RG174/U or RG316/U coax cables.

By using the insulation piercing technology, Zierick says goodbye to the traditional soldering process. The advantages that customers experience by using this new technology are:
